Some scene assets i developed. follow the project here
Recent environment painting for aegik co.
I also included the original sketch to see how it developed into the finish.
What i like to do in scene like this is block it out using the most very basic of photoshops brushes. then Once the color and layout is established Ill clean it up background to foreground. This is where Ill add some photo elements and custom brushes.

Recent environment commission. Tasked with creating a beautiful natural looking city in the forest I must say it was definitely influenced by Naussicaa, Chrono Chross, and Avatar. This was a lot of fun to paint, I also included the sketches.

check out, tell your friends! A classic Rpg like Chrono trigger or secret of mana.
I created all the environment assets. Remember footage here will not be the most accurate representation of final game art.
Battle map similar to what you would expect in a classic role-playing game like Final fantasy 1-6 or chrono trigger. So all the action will be taking place on the field below this illustration.
When I set out to create this tile I wanted it to have a hand painted quality. One that illustrates a lush pallet, wonder, and the vastness of the world. In a sense to have the quality of a typical Studio ghibli background.

I think ill call it finished. Sometimes I just never know when to stop. Its a more polished concept so I think for my next few Ill try to push the idea with less. This was all fun practice though. Its hard to be original regarding futuristic cities these hope you all enjoy. Feel free to email me regarding licensing rights for this.

Some concept work I did for enigmati Studios. http://www.enigmatigames.com
These pre production sketches are right out of my sketchbook. I was tasked with coming up with design ideas for all the major locations set forth by the lead designer Chao. It really has been a dream job to work on this project so far.
